heather and her partner, numerous four legged creatures and voluminous plantings have returned to their roots in Bass River, Nova Scotia.

heather is busy preparing for her upcoming spring show at the Harvest Gallery in Wolfville, Nova Scotia as a follow-up to her triumphant accomplishment in 2008. view here.

Entering her third decade as a master stone sculptor, heather has amassed a significant body of work. From large garden pieces weighing many thousands of pounds to interior embellishments such as fireplace surrounds and columns, to intimate bowls, standing stones and vessels one can easily hold.

ImageParticularly favoured by gardeners, much of her work can be found in exterior spaces: faces, bird houses, fountains and such are sought out by appreciators across North America and beyond. heather is particularly taken with the natural processes wrought by stone in the elements; colouration of bedding and surface patinas are all part of joy of working in this medium.

heather’s work can be found on many of the well-known buildings in Halifax, in churches, museums and galleries.  heather welcomes you to enjoy a pictorial account of some of her work by clicking on the Image Gallery link at the bottom of the main menu.
